The Jaipur Literary Fest (JLF) is an annual event held in Jaipur, India that celebrates Literature, Art and Culture. It is considered one of the largest literary festivals in the world, attracting writers, intellectuals and enthusiasts from across the globe. The festival featured a diverse line up of speakers, poets, journalists and thought leaders from various fields.
Nine students- Tanisha Baid (XI), Tisha Jain (XI), Dolly Baid (XI), Sneha Somani (XI), Chhavi Lohia (XI), Riddhi Barelia (IX), Shrinidhi Banthia (IX), Nandika Sardana (IX) and Tarana Jain (IX) from LK Singhania Education Centre, Gotan, got the golden chance to be a part of this Mega event on 3rd and 4th February, 2024. They had the opportunity to engage with literary giants and emerging voices alike. The students attended few sessions from literature and politics to history, mythology and the environment.
The students enjoyed some interactive sessions such as - ‘Tirthankar: Insights Into Jainism’- Devdutt Pattanaik; Introduction to the book- ‘Never Never Land’ by the author Namita Gokhale; ‘Common Yet Uncommon’ : Sudha Murthy in conversation with Meru Gokhale; ‘Audacious Hope: How To Save a Democracy’- (first edition) by Indrajit Roy in conversation with Shashi Tharoor; Hollywood To Himalayas - Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati in conversation with Puneeta Roy.
Visiting Book stalls at JLF was a vibrant journey into the heart of literary explorers. Rows of colourful stalls adorned with a diverse array of books beckon the students and visitors to explore the new world; it was about celebrating the timeless allure of storytelling and nurturing a lifelong love with a written world. A visit to Jaipur Literary Fest, 2024 was really an unforgettable literary odyssey.
