From April 25th to May 2nd, our school hosted 25 students from Viraj International School, Boisar, Maharashtra, and Academic World School, Bemetera, Chhattisgarh. The week-long exchange program offered a rich blend of academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities, fostering leadership and cultural appreciation.
As the students arrived, they were introduced to our campus, a haven of knowledge and creativity. They moved through our halls, absorbing the essence of our academic and extracurricular offerings. Their talents shone brightly as they showcased the diverse cultural heritage of their home states, filling the air with music, dance, and the spirit of their traditions. The School Principal's motivational words were like seeds sown in fertile soil, encouraging these young minds to break free from their comfort zones and blossom into leaders.
The spirit of community and empathy was ignited through a service project that saw the students planting trees at a nearby government school, their hands nurturing the earth and their actions fostering a sense of environmental stewardship. They became educators themselves, imparting knowledge about pressing environmental issues to junior students, planting not just trees but ideas of sustainability and care.
The week was also a journey of hands-on learning. The students delved into the tactile world of clay modeling, the intricate art of Pichwai painting, and the expressive movements of dance. A Sunday adventure to Jodhpur added another chapter to their story, with guided tours of Ummed Bhawan and Mehrangarh Fort. Here, history came alive, enriching their understanding of regional heritage. The desert safari at Osian, with its thrilling camel rides and interactions with local communities, was a vivid illustration of the desert's ecosystem and culture.
Industrial visits to the JK White Cement factory and ITI opened their eyes to the practical workings of trades and technical operations. The exhilaration of Go-Karting provided a memorable twist, adding joy and excitement to their experiential learning.
As the week drew to a close, the farewell evening was a crescendo of creativity and emotion. The students showcased the skills and talents they had honed, each performance a testament to their growth and the bonds they had formed. Tokens of appreciation were given, mementos of a week that had indelibly marked their hearts and minds.
